The irony of this scene is that if Dumbo knew he could use his ears to fly he would've made it to the top of the pyramid. Slonček dumbo. I'm guessing these people will be wanting a refund. The best movie Ive ever watched 💕. The pink one's gonna be really sweating! Oh boy. Dumbo is a good remake with incredible cg and great direction from Tim Burton. The performances from it's great cast are all good. The only negative is that it focuses too much on the human characters and not enough on Dumbo.

As with The Last Jedi, one thing I've noticed is how most critics of the film explain why they don't like it, often in great detail. On the other hand, people praising this movie tend to go with quick fake sounding blurbs like "It was total magic with superb acting and a great sense of wonder for the whole family! I'm not saying those kind of reviews are always fake but the concept of the "shill" is very real and I usually try to use my b.s. detector when reading reviews.
Another thing I've noticed is that the negative reviews of Dumbo generally do not attack the viewers who enjoyed the film, but the same cannot be said of many of the positive reviews here! Why this constant need to attack people who don't share an opinion? The constant asking of "why the hate" clearly shows that they have not bothered to actually read the negative reviews to answer that very question. Also the insults. It seems some of you just have to be negative all the time" or better yet someone wrote "You just don't understand the hard work that goes into making films, do you. Both of these sentiments imply that you have to blindly love everything out there no matter how vapid or poorly conceived.
As for the movie- you can basically read any of the 1 to 4 star reviews here to get pretty much my same opinion. this is a soulless cash grab that seems to be clueless as to what made the original so great. Also the relentless pushing of PC politics which aren't so much PC as kind of weird at this point. Of course the little girl is the focus of the movie, not Dumbo of the film's title- she is the hero while her brother (just like in Nutcracker movie) is just there, not heroic or even useful in anyway. The father is weak (again, see the Disney Nutcracker movie- better yet, don't! and so on. Also the message that corporate = evil is quite ironic considering this film was made by DISNEY who continue to gobble up other corporations/franchises in their never ending quest to make money and keep pushing this idea that white men are evil, or at least total failures.
Since I luckily still have the right, for now, to express a negative opinion let's talk about Tim Burton for a moment. I love this man's early films, from Beetle Juice to Ed Wood and many others, but somewhere along the line he completely lost his talent. At this point, other than Big Eyes which I liked) Tim Burton movies have basically become lifeless cliches of his past works. Whereas I used to get excited about a Burton film, I can (for at least twenty years now) be assured that I will probably walk out/turn it off halfway through. At least Helena Bonham Carter wasn't in this?
Basically if you just love an overload of CGI and cliched tropes, not to mention the trend of weird PC ideas being forced into everything, then you will love this film! If your child is too young to know they are being bamboozled (Mac And Me anyone? they might enjoy it as well. To anyone else, avoid this garbage and watch or re-watch the original animated version instead! Lastly, the line I keep hearing about this film and now with the new Lion King "The current generation should be able to enjoy the story as well" is maddeningly dumb. are you trying to tell me that all known physical and digital embodiment of the original movies has been erased from reality? A movie that is not currently in theaters can no longer be seen by anyone? Ridiculous logic inversion.
I watched Ralph Breaks the Internet, there were several kids surrounding my seat and once this trailer came and went it took all of me not to break down crying. I loved this movie so much as a child. 😭😭😭❤️.
